Booking the cottage

The prices quoted above include all linen/towels, parking and utilities. Bookings are normally taken on a Saturday to Saturday basis but outside of peak weeks we can offer discounts for two person occupancy/short breaks.

Parking

As parking in this central part of St. Ives can be very difficult we are pleased to be able to offer guests a reserved, numbered, parking space in the nearby Railway Station car park. From the cottage the car park is accessed via a flight of steps 50 metres away, towards Porthminster beach. If required, you can drive to the front of the property to unload briefly.

St Eia is within 200 metres of the bus/coach and railway station, providing easy access for guests arriving by coach/train or wishing to take excursions without a car.

Directions to car park on arrival (blue route)

• Take the A3074 off the A30 following the road for approx. four miles until you come to the outskirts of town.
• Do not be diverted off the A3074 at the junction outside the Porthminster Hotel, but continue straight ahead for a further 200 metres where you turn very sharply right at the bus station (before the Regent Hotel) into the Station Approach Road, leading into the station car park. Drive past the Pay & Display spaces into the reserved section where your numbered space can be found in the middle block. Please display your permit (previously collected with your keys) on your dashboard.
• Walk back through the car park the way you drove in and after 150m you will see a flight of steps down into The Warren, opposite the Pedn Olva Hotel. Turn left at the bottom of the steps and St Eia is 50m down on the left (blue shutters).

Directions straight to cottage by car (red route)

• If you wish to drive to the cottage to unload you will need to access the Warren, which is one-way, via the Primrose Valley turning off the main road, just before the Porthminster Hotel.
• Take this sharp right turn down the steep hill towards the beach, turning left under the railway bridge and then carrying on above the beach for about 300m which leads into The Warren.
• After unloading, drive to the bottom of the road turning left away from the sea, up to the mini crossroads by Age Concern, left again up Skidden Hill and left at the top onto the main road.
• After 50m turn left down towards the station, immediately after the Regent Hotel. This leads you into the station car park.

Other Information

Bed linen, bedding and bathroom towels are provided with the property, as is one numbered, reserved parking space in St Ives Railway Station Car Park.

We do not accept pets at any time.

St Eia is a non-smoking establishment and is fully compliant with the new obligations imposed on owners in the Regulatory Reform (Fire safety) Order 2006. St Eia is a former fisherman’s cottage built in the 1860's and within the conservation area. Given the nature of the building all our bedrooms are on the first floor and thus only accessible by stairs with a secure handrail. The front door is accessed via five granite steps from The Warren.
